19TH INT. TESOL CONFERENCE 2013

The 19th international TESOL Arabia Conference and Exhibition has concluded on 16th of March 2013 . The conference lasted for three days from 14-16/3/2013 .

Presenters from all over the world presented new theories and performed sessions .
  
British Council Yemen delegated four of its members to the conference : Miss Rajaa Bazara  English Project Manager , Najeeb Al-Magrami programs coordinator at the MOE and BC, Miss Lubna AL-Hamdani BC and MOF English language trainer ( Sana'a city ) , Mr. Abdul Hakim Abdullah Saeed BC and MOF English language trainer ( Taiz ).

The delegates attended all the events of the conference since the inauguration by the Minister of high education Sheikh Nahyan Mabarak Al Nahyan .

The delegates attended more than 15 sessions .Some of the sessions they attended were :
·        Differentiation in Teaching Grammar: Hands-on Activities by Aisha Sheikhmoos
·        Listening by Ken Wlison .
·        Classroom Observation Techniques for EFL /ESL Teachers by Khalil Motallebzadeh
·        The Flipped Classroom (in ELT)
·        Dealing with Students’ Classroom Behavior by Sufian Abu-Rmaileh
·        Emotional Intelligence in the ELT Teacher Education by Rana Raddawi, PhD and Salah Troudi, PhD .
·        Engage Motivate Learn EU Peter Lacantoni
·        JGS - Mentor Presentation - JAMIE G. STURGES
·        Assessing Students’ Various Needs & Preferences ,  Sally Ali
·        Collaborative Critical Thinking  , Tamas

The delegate also visited the exhibition corners during the conference as we visited BRTITISH COUNIL exhibition , Cambridge University Press and Oxford University press and also Macmillan press and other corners .



The above are the presentations we could get their slides from the presenters . Also we attended some others .
It was a great chance to attend the conference and we will do our best to apply what we gained during our presence to our  teachers in our country Yemen .

Thanks to Mr. Fetwi and the rest of British Council staff who supported us a lot and guided us there in Dubai during the conference .
