British Council Concludes Inspectors' workshops Regarding Crescent English for Yemen In Ibb.

    The British Council in collaboration with the Ministry of Education concluded an intensive workshop for inspectors of English concerning  Crescent English course for Yemen. The 21 inspectors who took part in this workshop congregated from three governorates Lahj, Taiz and Ibb.
    The  intensive workshop lasted for three days began on the 26th of March in Al-Saeed Educational Complex, Ibb city. The workshop was concerned with training the inspectors on how to fully utilize the English course and how to create new ways and techniques which would have helped teachers deal with multi levels of students.
It is the first time for such workshop to be cascaded for inspectors of English in particular owing to update their knowledge base and create a correlative-positive relationship between them and the teachers, that is , the inspectors have to be facilitators to come over the challenges the latter met while their teaching.
    The workshop was inaugurated by an address delivered by Mr. Edrees Alqadasi, the  Projects and High Studies Manager  ,  In other words, on behalf of the British Council, he welcomed all the inspectors and the couple trainers Miss. Fadhlya Al-ziyadi and Miss. Lubna Al-Hamdani wishing a success for all. He urged the concerned ones, the inspectors, to make advantages of the workshop which would have enriched their knowledge and information that should be reflected on the teachers while making such visits to classrooms. Then, he expressed his gratitude towards the General Manager of Education office and the Training and Qualifying Department as well as the trainer Mr. Acram Mothana owing to good cooperation and co-ordination. Meanwhile, the general manager of Education delivered a brief address in which he praised the distinguished efforts exerted by the energetic organization, the British Council, for promoting the level of ELT all over Yemen and creating new opportunities for people worldwide.
    The workshop was cascaded by the couple Trainers; Fadhlya Al-ziyadi and Lubna Al-Hamdani.It dealt with five sessions, Coping With Multi-level Classes,  Differentiation In Action Through Reading And Writing, Integrating Skills Through Group Work Activities & Vocab Games And Activities For Primary Level and The Communicative Learner Centered Grammar. The couple trainers commenced their sessions with very attractive ice-breakers. The inspectors worked individually, in pairs and in groups and many activities and games had been done actively and effectively. Like 1st session, 2nd session started off  with a report presented by some inspectors. Meanwhile, some mass media audio, video and written, for instance, Sana'a Broadcast, Aden Live Channel, Al-Saeeda channel, Ibb Broadcast and Akhbar Alyoom  and Al-Owlas' newspapers covered the incident making some interviews and conducting some meetings with Mr. Edrees Alqadasi, Trainer/Miss. Fdhlya Alziyadi and the Inspector Radhwan Shamsan.
    By the end of the workshop, some questionnaires regarding the workshop were distributed to the inspectors so they had to fill them and adding some recommendations. Then, the coordinator and the Trainer Mr. Acram Mothana Haider delivered a speech summing up the purpose of  the workshop and what it is further expected from the inspectors to do. A speech  then, addressed by Mr. Mohammed Al-Salahi, the head of Training and Qualifying Department in which he highlighted the importance for such workshop for inspectors valuing the efforts done by the British Council, represented by Edrees Alqadasi who is usually in contact with  regarding implementing workshops in Ibb for inspectors, trainers and trainees. He hoped that this workshop met the inspectors' expectations . He looked forward to having more workshops in the next future. At last, the couple, honored the inspectors handing over certificates attached by a photo for each trainer.
