The 19^th international TESOL Arabia Conference and Exhibition has concluded on 16^th of March 2013 . The conference lasted for three days from 14-16/3/2013 .

Presenters from all over the world presented new theories and performed sessions .

British Council Yemen delegated four of its members to the conference : Miss Rajaa Bazara English Project Manager , Najeeb Al-Magrami programs coordinator at the MOE and BC, Miss Lubna AL-Hamdani BC and MOF English language trainer ( Sana'a city ) , Mr. Abdul Hakim Abdullah Saeed BC and MOF English language trainer ( Taiz ).

The delegates attended all the events of the conference since the inauguration by the Minister of high education Sheikh Nahyan Mabarak Al Nahyan .

The delegates attended more than 15 sessions .Some of the sessions they attended were :

· Differentiation in Teaching Grammar: Hands-on Activities by Aisha Sheikhmoos

· Listening by Ken Wlison .

· Classroom Observation Techniques for EFL /ESL Teachers by Khalil Motallebzadeh

· The Flipped Classroom (in ELT)

· Dealing with Students’ Classroom Behavior by Sufian Abu-Rmaileh

· Emotional Intelligence in the ELT Teacher Education by Rana Raddawi, PhD and Salah Troudi, PhD .

· Engage Motivate Learn EU Peter Lacantoni

· JGS - Mentor Presentation - JAMIE G. STURGES

· Assessing Students’ Various Needs & Preferences , Sally Ali

· Collaborative Critical Thinking , Tamas

The delegate also visited the exhibition corners during the conference as we visited BRTITISH COUNIL exhibition , Cambridge University Press and Oxford University press and also Macmillan press and other corners .

The above are the presentations we could get their slides from the presenters . Also we attended some others .

It was a great chance to attend the conference and we will do our best to apply what we gained during our presence to our teachers in our country Yemen .

Thanks to Mr. Fetwi and the rest of British Council staff who supported us a lot and guided us there in Dubai during the conference .

برعاية وزارة التربية والتعليم قطاع التدريب والتأهيل و بتمويل و تنفيذ المجلس الثقافي البريطاني اختتام ورشة عمل لموجهي اللغة الانجليزية بمحافظة تعز .

برعاية وزارة التربية والتعليم قطاع التدريب والتأهيل والمجلس الثقافي البريطاني و على نفقة المجلس الثقافي البريطاني اختتمت اليوم الخميس في مدرسة الكويت مديرية صالة ورشة العمل الخاصة بتدريب الموجهين فيما يختص بالملاحظة و التقويم و تحضير الدروس .

الدورة التي استمرت من 9 مارس 2013 م حتى 14 مارس 2013 و التي ناقش فيها المدربين مع الموجهين كيفية إعداد استمارة تقويم موحدة و شاملة خلاصة النماذج التي قام بإعدادها الموجهين في الميدان و النماذج المتوفرة لدى المجلس الثقافي البريطاني .

بدأت الدورة يوم السبت حيث اختتم الموجهين اليوم بعمل خلاصة لاستمارة تقييم و التي تم العمل عليها في المدارس المجاورة لمدرسة الكويت من قبل الموجهين في اليوم التالي الأحد . حيث قام الموجهين بزيارات ميدانية لمدرسي اللغة الانجليزية في المدارس المجاورة . و في نهاية اليوم الأحد خلص الموجهين المركزيين لإخراج الاستمارة في نسختها النهائية .

يوم الاثنين كان موضوع الورشة كيفية توحيد تحضير الدروس حيث قام الموجهين بعمل تصور لتحضير الدروس و الذي سيتم اعتماده من قبل وزارة التربية و التعليم و يعمم على عموم معلمي اللغة الانجليزية في الجمهورية اليمنية .

تمت مجموعة مشابهة من الورش لعدد 41 موجها من يوم الثلاثاء حتى يوم الخميس حيث اختتمت الورش التدريبية بحضور مدير إدارة التوجيه بمكتب التربية تعز الأستاذ فؤاد حسان .

درب في هذه الدورة مدربي قطاع التدريب و التأهيل بوزارة التربية و التعليم و المجلس الثقافي البريطاني : الأستاذة منال العريقي ، الأستاذة لبنى الهمداني ، الأستاذ عبد الرحمن خزام ، الأستاذ موسى الصلوي و الأستاذ عبد الجبار الشعبي .

نسق للدورة كل من الاستاذ نجيب المقرمي منسق الوزارة و المجلس و الأستاذة رجاء بازرعه و الأستاذة هدى سليم من المجلس الثقافي البريطاني .

In conjunction with the Ministry of Education and the British Council a training workshop was concluded in Taiz governorate for Taiz English Language inspectors .

In conjunction with the Ministry of Education and the British Council and funded by the British Council a training workshop was concluded in Taiz governorate for Taiz English Language inspectors . The training was held in ALKWAIT school , Salah district , Taiz governorate , Yemen which was about evaluation .

The training lasted for one week from 9-3-2013 till 14-3-2103 as the trainers along with the inspectors discussed how to make evaluation form from all the models they had and also from the models that the British Council has .

The training started on Saturday 9-3-2013 as 42 inspectors ends the day and prepared a form which was tested the next day in the schools around the training place . As the inspectors made field visits for teachers of English language and applied the new form , at the end the master inspectors concluded the day and presented the new form . One Monday the training was about making lesson plans which should be the same all over the country .

The next three days Tuesday , Wednesday and Thursday , the same sessions was repeated with 41 new inspectors .And the sessions were concluded in the presence of Mr. Fuad Hassan director of inspection department at the Education office in Taiz governorate .

In this training sessions the trainers from British Council and Ministry of education were Miss Manal AL-Ariki , Miss Lubna Al-Hamdani , Mr. Abdul Rahman Khuzam , Mr. Musa Al-Selwi and Mr. Abdul Gabar AL-Shabi .

The training was coordinated by . Mr. Najeeb Al-Maqrami training programs coordinator and Miss Rajaa Bazara Projects manager in the British Council and Miss Huda Saleem Project manager assistant.
